November 16, 2016 (Alpine) — A 55-year-old Alpine man died yesterday in a solo motorcycle accident.  He was riding a Harley Davidson westbound on Japatul Road near Hidden Glen Road at 2:36 p.m. when the vehicle crossed the yellow lines onto the dirt shoulder and struck an embankment, ejecting the rider.

“Medical attention was provided to him but he succumbed at the scene due to the injuries sustained from the collision,” said California Highway Patrol Officer Kevin Pearlstein.  He added that no other vehicles were involved and the collision remains under investigation.  It appears alcohol and or drugs were not a factor.
