LAUREL AND HARDY “BACK TO SCHOOL NIGHT” AUG. 29 IN SPRING VALLEY

August 26, 2015 (Spring Valley)—The SAPS, a local Laurel and Hardy group, will show comedic classic films on August 29th in Spring Valley, featuring their favorite “students of laughter 101 in some of their greatest misadventures,” organizers promise.

The event,  “Back to Skool, I mean School Night" SAPS at Sea event  will take place in Williams Hall at Trinity Church, 3902 Kenwood Drive in Spring Valley. Doors open at 6:30 with show time starting at 7 p.m.  A donation of $6 per person is requested.

The flyer states, “We start off with a school-themed cartoon classic. Then cavemen Stan and Ollie must learn to survive in the prehistoric times, in the post-hysterical FLYING ELEPHANTS. Find out how cavemen meet their mates. This one must be seen to be believed. “

Next up, “Charley Chase is a teacher who travels to the Ozarks in order to teach Hillbillies some edumacation. One of Charley's funniest shorts, TEACHER'S PEST. After Intermission (And another class in Keeley Tasty Treats dining), we travel to a faraway place with the best in learning. Stan and Ollie in A CHUMP AT OXFORD. We will be screening the original, streamlined version of this mini-feature. This is the first time we have presented this special version! “

So, grab your notebooks, locker combination and apples for the teacher and don't be late. Or, you will stand in the corner till the show is over.
