May 21, 2023 (San Diego) - Today was just a fun game to avoid getting swept.  Corey Kluber started for the Red Sox against Michael Wacha.

Finally, the Padres struck first with a walk from Matt Carpenter in the first with the bases loaded in the first.  Rougned Odor drove in a big three-RBI double to right and the Padres led 4-0 after one.

After Richard Bleier came in to pitch, Carpenter blasted a two-run home run to right off of him in the third and the Padres led 6-0 after three.

Odor doubled in the sixth to score Ha-Seong Kim and the Padres’ offense finally came to life and salvaged a game with a 7-0 win.
