EL CAJON CONSIDERS REVOKING ALCOHOL SALES PERMIT FOR FORMER BROADWAY MARKET SITE

August 2, 2017 (El Cajon) — The El Cajon Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, August 15 at 7 p.m. to consider termination of the former Broadway Market sit'es Deemed Approve Status and Revocation of a Conditional Use Permit for the off-sale of beer, wine and distilled spirits.

The hearing will be held at City Council Chambers, 200 Civic Center Way, El Cajon.

The former Broadway Market is located at 1307 and 1309 Broadway in EL Cajon.  A new business is now operating at the site and has not sold alochol for over a year. A city ordinance allows revocation of a conditional use permit for alcohol sales from a property if no alcohol sales take place at a property for a year..

The Deemed Approved ordinance was enacted to prevent off-site sales of alcohol to serial inebriates and minors.
