EXPLORE MISSION TRAILS DAY OFFERS FREE FAMILY FUN SAT. MAY 21

May 20, 2011 (San Diego) -- Adults and kids alike can enjoy a wealth of free and fun activities this Saturday, May 21 during Explore Mission Trails Day at Mission Trails Regional Park.  Activiteis include guided nature walks, outdoor recreation demonstrations, rock climbing wall, crafts, face painting, a star-gazing party, free pony rides, as well as visits with live birds of prey, reptiles and other animals, and much more.

 

There will also be educational discovery stations, fire and life safety equipment and informatino, and a visit from Ms. Frizzle in the ampitheater.  Other attractions include book signings, Native American flute music, and the opportunity to vote for your favorite photos in the People's Choice Award amateur photography contest.

Mission Trails is the largest park in San Diego, featuring a spectacular visitor center, amiptheater and campground as well as miles of trails and beautiful scenery encompassing mountains, valleys, the San Diego River and Padre Dam.
