FUNDRAISING WITH A HEART: $256,000 RAISED FOR SHARP GROSSMONT'S CARDIAC SERVICES

Proceeds from Grossmont Hospital Foundation gala supports heart and vascular center

November 22, 2010 (San Diego) — Grossmont Hospital Foundation celebrated its 25th Anniversary Gala, themed “Step to the Beat”, on Saturday, Nov. 13, at the Sheraton San Diego Hotel & Marina to raise money for Sharp Grossmont Hospital. The event netted $250,000, which will support the hospital’s Heart and Vascular Center.

 

The fundraising event featured local TV personalities, including Padres broadcaster and East County resident, Mark Grant and 10News Anchor Kimberly Hunt. The two participated in a judging panel for the evening’s ballroom dance performances, which included Sharp Grossmont Hospital CEO Michele Tarbet and KUSI Meteorologist and Reporter Dave Scott, who were each paired with their dance instructors. Total attendance for the event was 470.

 

Connie Conard served as event chair. Major sponsors included the Glenn Napierskie Family and Sharp Grossmont Hospital Medical Staff.
