HOMICIDE INVESTIGATION LAUNCHED INTO VIOLENT DEATH OF WOMAN FOUND BY ROAD IN LEMON GROVE

January 3, 2013 (Lemon Grove) –Jennifer Rene Krajnak, 30, has died shortly after Sheriff’s deputies on patrol found her lying beside the road bleeding from a severe head injury at 2:00 this morning. She was discovered in the 7600 block of Pacific Avenue near Olive Street and died about a half hour later after being transported to a hospital.

“There was a shell casing found at the crime scene,” confirmed Lieutenant Glenn Giannantonio, who said it is not certain if the casing was related to this incident.  Channel 7 News reports officials said she may have suffered multple gunshot wounds.  Krajnak had filed a restraining order alleging domestic abuse in 2010 against a former boyfriend, but later vacated the order after he claimed self defense. Authorities have indicated he is not a suspect, 7 News reports.

The death comes just days after someone shot through the window of a vehicle driven by a woman with her 10-year-old  son on December 26 on Glencoe Street in Lemon Grove, about two miles away.  ECM has left word with Sheriff Homicide investigators to find out if the incidents could possibly be related.  The victim in that case reported being passed by a white two-door coupe moments before the shot was fired.

Sheriff’s Homicide indicates that Krajnak  is a resident of San Diego County.  A resume for a Jennifer R. Krajnak , same age, on Jobing.com lists residency in Spring Valley and until recently, El Cajon.  

According to Classmates.com and Jobing.com, Krajnak attended Mount Miguel and Chaparral High Schools, graduating in 2000.  10 News reports she also attended Helix High School.  She also attended Southwestern College.

Jobing.com lists her employment at Chinaberry Inc. in Spring Valley, where she worked as a customer service representative since 2008.  She has also worked in customer service at Valvoline in El Cajon and at Pro Flowers in San Diego.  In addition, she has been a loan processor at First American Realty/Home Loans in Lemon Grove ,a quality assurance representative at Neighborhood Loan San Diego, and a caregiver at the East County Homecare in Spring Valley.

She also worked at two bars in Lemon Grove, as a bartender at KC’s Good Guys in 2006 and as a server at Dirk’s Nightclub from 2004-2006.  A friend told 10 News that Krajnak may have been visiting a bar in Lemon Grove the night she was killed.

Other employment has included SunCoast Motion Picture Company as a floor manager, sales associate at Gary’s Tux Shop in Chula Vista, cand ashier at Pasta Bravo in San Diego.

"I just can't believe it, she just moved out a couple of weeks ago," a close friend who lived near Krajnak in El Cajon told 10 News. 

“I'm in shock, I can't believe this. I literally can't believe it … she did not deserve that at all."
