INTERNATIONAL DAY OF PEACE: SEPTEMBER 17 AT LA MESA’S AZTEC PARK

August 13, 2017 (La Mesa) – The Interfaith Council of La Mesa invites the public to join millions of people around the world participating in activities to celebrate the United Nations International Day of Peace on September 17th. The La Mesa event will be held starting at 3 p.m. in Aztec Park, 7945 Morocco Drive, La Mesa.

A program from 3:45 to 5 p.m. in La Mesa will feature speakers from various faiths and traditions, as well as music. Over 20 peace-promoting organizations will be represented.

If you wish, bring a chair or blanket to sit on. 

Parking is available on the streets, with overflow parking is available at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 5555 Aztec Drive.
