JULIAN MAN FOUND DEAD IN OCEANSIDE HARBOR

November 27, 2013 (Julian) -- The County Medical Examiner has identified Greg Dwight Conitz, 56, of Julian as the man whose body was found floating in Oceanside Harbor on bn November 23.

On November 22, Conitz went to stay on his boat in a slip at Oceanside Harbor. That night, he went with friends to local bars and consumed alcohol, the Medical Examiner's report states. The next morning, another friend found Conitz floating in the weater yet another boat at slip#2. 

911 was called but Oceanside Police extricated him from the water, obviously deceased.

Cause of death for Conitz, who was divorced, has not yet been determined and an autopsy is pending.

U-T San Diego reports Conitz stated in an interview in 2008 that he was an airline pilot at that time and had lived in Julian since 2004.
