MASKED MAN WITH KNIFE ROBS RIVIERA CLUB IN LA MESA

August 15, 2014 (La Mesa)—La Mesa Police seek public help to locate a man who robbed the Riviera Supper Club at knifepoint, injuring an employee.

The suspect wore a black ski mask over his face and all black clothing.  He is described as white, about six feet tall, with a muscular build. He approached the employee from behind at closing time around 1:20 a.m. on Friday, wielding a knife and demanding cash. 

According to police, the suspect pushed the employee to the floor, took money from the cash register and fled out a back door.  The employee sustained a minor laceration to his hand but did not need medical treatment.

Officers search the neighborhood with help from a  San Diego Police helicopter, but could not find the suspect.
