May 18, 2022 (Norman, Okla.) - The San Diego State men’s golf team had its season come to an end with an eighth-place finish at the NCAA Norman Regional at 9-over-par 873. The Aztecs collectively shot a 2-over 290 on the par-72, 7,452-yard Jimmy Austin OU Golf Club in today’s final round but finished 13 shots behind Utah for fifth place and the region’s final spot into the NCAA Championships slated for May 27-June 1 at Grayhawk Golf Club in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Amtrak Pacific Surfliner passengers can now bring their dogs and cats weighing up to 20 pounds onboard Pacific Surfliner trains for only $26 or 800 Amtrak Guest Reward points beginning May 20.

BORDER PATROL AGENT DIES IN CAMPO CRASH WHILE ON DUTY

May 16. 2022 (Campo) – A U.S. Border Patrol agent died Friday, May 13 of injuries sustained in a single-vehicle crash near Campo. The agent, a 40-year-old man assigned to the El Cajon station in the San Diego sector, was the sole occupant of the USBP vehicle.

It can be a doorway to a very dark place, and that’s the reason ICAC--Internet Crimes Against Children-- came into being. Getting the money to keep it operational is important to those concerned about the issue, like North County resident Julie Levi who wondered “why is the governor not funding the ICAC Task Force?  If you have any insights, I’d love to hear them!"

May 16, 2022 (Lemon Grove) -- May is National Foster Care Month.  The People's Association of Justice Advocates (PAJ) and the Three Kings Barbershop in Lemon Grove are teaming up to provide haircuts free of charge to current and former foster youths up to age 21 during the month of May. Each haircut will save young people between $30-45.

May 14, 2022 (Clovis) - Four Aztecs won individual events, and two relay teams were crowned event champions as the Aztecs were crowned Mountain West Conference Champions for the second consecutive year. Jada Moore, Simone Johnson, Danae Dyer and Kaitlin Heri all won their respective events throughout the weekend, while the Aztecs won both the 4x100m relay and the 4x400m relay on Saturday night.
