March 31, 2012 (San Diego) – Two lucky winners who bought Mega-Millions tickets in San Diego have tickets worth $227,955 and many more have smaller winnings, the U-T San Diego reports.

The winning ticket numbers in the record $640 million multi-state lottery are 2, 4, 23, 38, 46 and the Mega number is 23.

The two largest local winners picked five numbers, but not the Mega number.  Those two tickets were sold at the Scripps Arco, 12033 Scripps Summit Drive, and at the First and Ivy Market, 2170 First Avenue. Odds of matching five numbers are more than one in 175 million.

Numerous other tickets sold in California are worth smaller amounts, including 156 tickets with four numbers and the Mega number worth $11,557.
