Urgent Call—Get the Call When it Counts
March 4, 2014 (LOS ANGELES) - The founder and creator of Urgent Call™ missed the most important call of his life when his father had a heart attack. He was sleeping and his phone was on silent. This crisis inspired the creation of Urgent Call™, a service created to make sure you are available to your loved ones when they need you most. UrgentCall™ is a mobile app and service designed to notify call recipients of an emergency situation, regardless of their phone’s setting. The easy-to-use mobile app allows users to receive emergency calls from anywhere in the world, regardless of a “do not disturb” or “silent” setting, from any type of phone: mobile, landline, and VOIP telephones.
The UrgentCall™ app is free to download and includes a 24 hour trial period, thereafter the service costs only $2 a month for 10 minutes of yearly UrgentCall™ time. Once the app has been downloaded, a user friendly setup page takes you through the process of recording your name, entering your phone number, and choosing what emergency ring tone you’d like to have on your device. Next, you select up to ten contacts who you would like to be able to reach you when there’s an emergency. You can change or remove the contacts at any time and there is no limit to the amount of phone numbers associated with each contact. The contacts that you choose will receive an automatic text message stating that if they have an emergency, they can call you on your special UrgentCall™ number, also included in the text message. UrgentCall™ will only answer the callers that you’ve designated as eligible to call you in an emergency. The app is currently available for Android phones, but due to popular demand by iPhone users eager to get their hands on UrgentCall™, the iOS version is expected to be released near the end of February.
UrgentCall™ is unique to other emergency contact apps in that it is not only an app, but also a full service emergency line. This service allows UrgentCall™ to do many things that similar products do not. UrgentCall™ verifies that the call is urgent via an Interactive Voice Response server that asks the caller if this is in fact an emergency call before patching the call through. This feature of the service is patented. Next, UrgentCall™ ensures that you receive the call by causing your phone to ring endlessly in an escalating volume with your chosen UrgentCall™ ringtone until the call is answered. If your phone has no reception or the battery is dead, as soon as the phone is back in a service area or turned back on it will ring endlessly. Additionally, unlike other emergency contact apps, UrgentCall™ provides you with your own emergency contact number.

About the Creator:
Shary Nassimi is the founder of Urgent Call Tech, LLC located in California. Shary has been innovating since he was a child and is now the owner of over 50 patents. Nassimi is motivated to invent products that change lives. UrgentCall™ was the answer to one such need: staying connected to his family during a time of crisis. He found that individuals were losing sleep over their missed emergency calls, Nassimi being one of them, or had their phones on silent or “do not disturb” mode only to feel panicked upon learning they had missed an urgent call. After researching mobile apps that could address the need of staying connected while disconnected in the event of an urgent situation, Nassimi found that no such app existed. He invested time and money to develop a mobile app that could reach smartphone users no matter their phone’s setting.
Nassimi is a multidiscipline business consultant, entrepreneur, and inventor.
