POLICE INVESTIGATE MURDER IN COLLEGE EAST NEIGHBORHOOD

Two possible suspects seen fleeing scene

June 29, 2010 (San Diego) -- San Diego Police Department homicide detectives are investigating the death of a man inside a College East apartment. Around 11:45 a.m., officers were dispatched to 7240 El Cajon Boulevard on a report of a person shot. They found a male inside an apartment who had suffered an apparent gunshot wound. Paramedics attempted lifesaving measures, but the victim died at the scene at 12:10 p.m.

 

The victim is believed to be the resident of the apartment, but his identity has not been confirmed. Detectives are currently interviewing neighbors and preparing a search warrant in order to enter the apartment, process it for evidence, and examine the victim.

 

Neighbors saw two black males in their 20s, average build and height, (one of whom was carrying a dark backpack) run from the apartment complex after the shooting. The males were last seen westbound in the north alley of 7200 El Cajon Boulevard.
