June 21, 2009 (La Mesa) –On Tuesday, June 23, at 3 p.m. La Mesa’s City Council will hold a joint special meeting with the La Mesa Community Redevelopment Agency and La Mesa Public Financing Authority. Staff will present a recommendation urging Council to approve the 2009-2010 and 2010-2011 budgets. This year, the show remains in jeopardy due to a shortage of community donations, Navajo Events organizers have told East County Magazine. In addition, San Diego East Visitors Bureau has requested $8,000 for fiscal year 2009-2010 and the East Council Economic Development Council has asked for $5,000 for each fiscal year. The meeting will be held in Council Chambers at 8130 Allison Avenue, La Mesa.
