SAN DIEGO CONCERT BAND ANNOUNCES SUMMER SHOWS

June 18, 2023 (La Mesa) — San Diego Concert Band will have two free performances in the next week locally, with two more next month. This week’s shows are:
June 22 (6:30 p.m.) - "Twilight in the Park" - Spreckels Organ Pavilion
June 25 (6:00 p.m.) - "Sundays at Six" - Harry Griffen Park, La Mesa
The Band has enjoyed performing at both venues for over 30 years. The concert will include a variety of pieces featuring sections of the band and playing a variety of crowd-pleasing tunes from Broadway, jazz, and some classics.
Next month’s shows are:
July 2 (2:00 p.m.) - Independence Day Celebration
St. Dunstan's Episcopal Church, San Carlos
July 29 (TBD) - The Summer Band Festival
Civita Park, Mission Valley
Founded in La Mesa in 1989, under the direction of Roy Anthony, Jr., the San Diego Concert Band performs a wide range of music; traditional symphonic band pieces, marches, show tunes and arrangements of orchestral works for band. The Band is composed of nearly 100 local musicians from all walks of life.
