TODDLER DIES FROM FALL OUT LA MESA WINDOW

July 10, 2025 (La Mesa) – A 14-month old baby boy has died after falling from the second-story window of his family’s housing unit on Valley View Circle in La Mesa on July 5.  The Medical Examiner’s office has identified the victim as Kent Adam LaFave.

After a 911 call was made, La Mesa Police and Heartland Fire personnel were dispatched. Live saving measures were dispatched during transport of the toddler to a Rady Children’s Hospital. He was admitted to the hospital, but was later pronounced dead shortly before midnight.  

The cause of death is listed as an accident due to craniocerebral or head injuries .
