June 22, 2017 (El Cajon) -- This morning, volunteers were out and about all over San Diego County excitedly shouting out and collecting monetary donations for Ronald McDonald House, which helps families in need with housing, meals and so much more at no cost when their children are hospitalized due to illness or injury.

Although Rady Children’s Hospital has the majority of pediatric patients, Ronald McDonald House also partners with Sharp Mary Birch Hospital for Women and Newborns, UCSD Medical Center, Balboa Naval Hospital, Scripps Memorial Hospital, Mercy Hospital, and Kaiser Permanente.

I snapped these photos of some of the smiling, energetic volunteers in downtown El Cajon at Main St. & Magnolia Ave.

This donation event occurs but once a year, so if you missed it and wish to donate money to the local San Diego Ronald McDonald House, please visit their website at https://rmhcsd.org where you can read all about what this important charity does for so many in need.

You can also volunteer in many areas. Just peruse the “Get Involved” section to find out more.
