October 17, 2011 (San Diego County) -- The Fall series of the San Diego County Library Acoustic Showcase is concluding this year with concerts in East County through November. The series offers a variety of some of San Diego's very best singer/songwriters, folk music performers and story tellers. A Winter series of concerts will launch in December -- stay tuned for more information.
These concerts are free to the community. The following are upcoming concerts for the remainder of the Fall series.
Dust Bowl John Slaughter & the Okie Dokies

Casa de Oro Branch
Dust Bowl John Slaughter leads his band, the Okie Dokies, in a spirited performance of traditional folk tunes. As a member of the San Diego Folk Song Society, they're sure to entertain and bring you back to dustier times.

Larry Robinson

Larry Robinson is a singer and songwriter with a true love for his home state of Californ which comes through in his music. Old California Town is Larry's first solo CD and is inspired by life in California. From the tip of Baja up through Northern California, these songs evoke pictures of places he's been and the times he's had. He shares those experiences with the listener in his smooth, deep, soulful voice and simple, all-acoustic musical accompaniment.

Coco & Lafe

Coco & Lafe are critically acclaimed and award winning Americana singer-songwriters. They have just released their fifth CD "Big Bang!" which is being promoted to Americana Radio by Bill Wence Promotions and to press by SkySail Publicity, who are also coordinating the national tour publicity campaign.
