East County News Service

May 14, 2016 (El Cajon) – The El Cajon Police Dept. asks drivers to help keep roads safer for kids.  Traffic enforcement officers and school bus drivers have noticed an increase in driver’s passing school buses that are loading or unloading students.

Reminder! When a school bus has red lights flashing and/or a stop sign arm extended, you must stop. It’s the law!

Fines for violations can be up to $1,000 and your license may be suspended.  Most importantly, stopping when the bus is unloading or loading students can save children’s lives.
