March 4, 2018 (San Diego) - San Diego State softball was originally supposed to play Boston University at 7:00 p.m. last night and ECM was supposed to cover the last game of the San Diego Classic against UCLA today, but due to scheduling changes and rain, SDSU’s only game today is against the Terriers of BU.  Freshman Cali Dolfi started on the hill for BU against sophomore Marissa Moreno for the Aztecs.

March 4, 2018 (San Diego) - San Diego State senior guard Trey Kell has been named the Mountain West Player of the Week, the league announced today from its temporary offices in Las Vegas in preparation for this week’s MW Championship. The award is the second of his career and the second of the season for SDSU.

March 2, 2018 (San Diego) - San Diego State opened its season-long homestand in style Friday with a 19-3 conquest of St. Bonaventure at Aztec Lacrosse Field.

Playing in its first night game of the season, SDSU snapped a two-game losing streak, improving to 3-2 overall, while the Bonnies remain winless on the year at 0-5.

March 2, 2018 (Reno) - The San Diego State women’s basketball team fell at Nevada 84-72 Friday evening, The Aztecs shot an efficient 50 percent from the field, but the Wolf Pack scored 24 points off of Aztec turnovers and outscored San Diego State 50-34 in the paint.

March 2, 2018 (Tempe) - The San Diego State women’s tennis team played its second nationally-ranked opponent of the season on Friday when it visited No. 33 Arizona State, where the Aztecs dropped a 4-0 match to the Sun Devils at the Whiteman Tennis Center. ASU clinched the match with a doubles win and by claiming the first three singles matchups.

The Aztecs trailed by just four points entering the fourth quarter, but missed their first 11 shots of the quarter and the Broncos went on an 11-0 run, which the Aztecs could not overcome.

February 26, 2018 (Westlake Village, Calif.) - The San Diego State men’s golf team remains in fifth place at the Southwestern Invitational after play was suspended midway through the second round on Monday due to darkness. The Aztecs, who sit at 17-over par through holes 11-13, endured a two-hour delay for frost earlier in the morning at the par-72, 6,994-yard layout at North Ranch Country Club.

Ashley Henderson was named the Women’s Outstanding Performer of the Meet after winning the 60 and 200-meter dash, while Jalyn Harris, Bonnie Draxler, Marissa Berry and Lisa-Anne Barrow also took home all-conference honors.

The Aztecs’ six-match streak of winning the doubles point was snapped, and SDSU was unable to answer Hawai’i’s initial singles victories.

With the loss, the Aztecs slip to 2-8 on the season, while the Waves move to 2-6 overall.

February 25, 2018 (Boulder, Colo.) - The San Diego State lacrosse team dropped its second game in a row to a ranked opponent, falling to No. 20 Colorado 17-12 on Sunday at Kittredge Field.

The Aztecs (2-2), who lost at 21st-ranked Denver on Friday by an identical count, once again found themselves in pursuit mode against the Buffaloes (2-2) after trailing 10-1 by the 9:44 mark of the first half.
