FDA ISSUES WARNING AND RECALL OF MERCURY PRODUCTS

 
March 12, 2012 (Washington, D.C.) -- The Food & Drug Administration (FDA) issued a warning on March 6, 2012 about skin creams, beauty and antiseptic soaps, and lotions that may contain mercury. Skin products containing mercury have been found in at least seven states. They are manufactured in other countries and marketed as skin lighteners and anti-aging treatments that remove age spots, freckles, blemishes and wrinkles.
