POSSIBILITIES: BIZ CENTER ART RECEPTION APRIL 20 IN LA MESA

April 18, 2013 (La Mesa) – Biz Center Art, the art gallery in residence at the La Mesa Biz Center, is featuring art based on the idea of "POSSIBILITIES", what is possible in the creative mind of an artist with an opening reception from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 20th. Local artists' work will be shown, as well as our feature artist Peter Hammar, a New York artist from Stockholm Sweden. There  will also be work displayed by the STAR program, survivors of trafficking.

The "Possibilities" opening is  a fundraiser for STAT (Soroptimists Together Against Trafficking) program. Representatives will be on hand to discuss their projects and there will be a raffle of art by Biz Center artists as well as various services by tenants of the La Mesa Biz Center.

CONFIGURATION OPENING RECEPTION JANUARY 19

January 6, 2013 (La Mesa) – Biz Center Art is hosting a reception and sale of new artworks on January 19 at 6:30 p.m. at 7317 El Cajon Blvd., La Mesa.  The show will include a bonus from some creative student artists a JCS San Diego Academy that will be showing work from their Monuments Project using symbols representing their goals in life.

PRACTICING THE PRESENT AT BIZ CENTER ART BEGINNING OCTOBER 20

October 18, 2012 (La Mesa) – Biz Center Art, located in the La Mesa Biz Center presents Practicing the Present October 20 through January 2.  The opening receptions will be October 20 from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m.  The show will look at all aspects of the present.  Biz Center Art gallery manager Midge Hyde said, “This show runs from Fall 2012 into the new year.  I just thought it was a good time to look at where we are as artists, people and members of this community.”

“INSIDE OUT” ART SHOW OPENS AUGUST 25

 

August 19, 2012 (La Mesa) – Biz Center Art presents Inside Out, an art show with a 70’s vibe, on August 25 from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m. at the La Mesa biz Center, 7317 El Cajon Blvd., La Mesa.  The event will feature 70’s music and 70’s art.  The show will run through October.

Dress up in 70’s themed attire and step back in time with art that speaks to the 70’s.  There will even be an entire wall devoted to black velvet paintings.

AN OPENING RECEPTION FOR “NOWHERE” AT BIZ CENTER ART ON JUNE 23

June 21, 2012 (La Mesa) – Biz Center Art, the gallery in residence at the La Mesa Biz Center, 7317 El Cajon Blvd., La Mesa, is holding an opening reception for Nowhere on June 23 from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The reception will feature the artists and their art.  “Nowhere” is a small image show featuring works of art no larger than 12” x 14” and costing no more than $100.
