December 6, 2011 (Alpine) – The Alpine Community Network reports that two mountain lion cubs were spotted the night before last in the 3000 block of North Victoria Drive.  The sighting was reported by Bill Randall, who said he spotted the two lions in his driveway two nights ago.

“He said that they were young cubs, just a little smaller than a lab. He also said that they have been around for about three weeks now,” the ACN reports. The publication added that this information is being passed along “not to cause panic or fear, but to remind our neighbors in this area to take special care that your animals are not left outdoors and vulnerable to the natural hunting instincts of these big cats.”
