November 16, 2014 (San Diego) – It’s that time of year again when San Diego’s best and brightest minds converge on the San Diego County Library in downtown San Diego. For the 49th consecutive year the city will honor and celebrate authors and their books. I was fortunate to have been one of those authors at the 46th Annual San Diego Local Author Exhibit at the old San Diego County Library. The Local Author Exhibit highlights the intellectual and creative accomplishments of writers in the San Diego region. The San Diego Public Library is calling on San Diego County authors who have published books in 2014 to submit them to the 49th Annual Local Author Exhibit. See attached.
The East County Magazine in San Diego has played a major role in the authors that will attend this reception, including this writer. A number of current and past participants in the Annual Authors Exhibition have had their book reviews in the East County Magazine.
We can expect that Anat Tour, author of Mama’s Bees, to be a participant in the 49th Annual San Diego Local Author Exhibit, as she was at the 46th annual event. We can also expect Reina Menasche, author of Silent Bird, and the host of the “East County Magazine Live!” KNSJ radio show, to be a participant. Ms. Menasche was afforded a book signing at the downtown San Diego library for her book Silent Bird, as a past participant in this prestigious event, as all past participants are. This is something that everyone should take advantage of.
Zohreh Ghahremani, author of Sky of Red Poppies, and a guest speaker at the 46th Annual San Diego Local Author Exhibit that I also had my book about Chicago politics represented at, can be expected to be in attendance. Ms. Ghahremani has also been a guest on Reina Menasche’s “East County Magazine Live!” radio show.
We can also expect that Caitlin Rother, with her latest book, Naked Addiction, will be another participant in the 49th Annual San Diego Local Author Exhibit. Ms. Rother was a guest on Ms. Menasche’s “East County Magazine Live!” radio show, discussing two earlier books reviewed by this writer in the East County Magazine, Lost Girls and I’ll Take Care of You.
The last day to register and submit your books is Sunday, November 30, 2014. See attached.
