May 26, 2015 (San Diego)--For the third year in a row, San Diego State University’s men’s baseball team has won the Mountain West Tournament Championship. The Aztecs scored two runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to come from behind, adding another later in the game for a 6-4 victory over New Mexico’s Lobos.
The big win gives the Aztecs a spot in the NCAA regionals. Now the team is on a quest to reach the College World Series in Omaha. The first step is to defeat the UC Santa Barbara Gauchos in a regional series, where they will square off on Friday night.
