CAL FIRE/SAN DIEGO INCREASES STAFFING FOR PEAK FIRE SEASON

 
June 16, 2012 (San Diego) — As of Monday June 11, Cal Fire/San Diego has increased staffing for peak fire season with an additional 8 engines and an additional bulldozer. That will  bring the total for brush engines to 26 and 3 bull dozers staffed every day.

The air program is also fully staffed with 2 helicopters, 2 air tankers and 1 air attack. These units are in addition to Cal-Fire’s normal 25 engines in the county, said Cal-Fire spokesman Mike Mohler.
