June 8, 2010 (Poway) – The “Geezer Bandit” has struck for the tenth time, robbing the U.S. Bank at 14837 Pomerado Road in Poway (inside Albertsons grocery store) yesterday at 2:54 p.m.

The FBI, San Diego Police Department and San Diego Sheriff’s Department are seeking the public’s assistance to identify the unknown male bank robber believed responsible for holding up 10 banks in San Diego County since August 2009.

In the latest robbery, the bandit presented a demand note and pointed a small caliber revolver at the teller, threatening to use it against her. After receiving a sum of money he walked out of the north exit door of the grocery store.

Witnesses have described the “Geezer Bandit” as a white male, age 60 to 70, approximately six feet tall and weighing approximately 190 pounds. He wore a Navy colored blazer, dark baseball cap and dark pants in yesterday’s robbery.
