PACIFIC SOUTHWEST RAILWAY MUSEUM ANNOUNCES 2015 SCHEDULE
December 3, 2014 (Campo) - The Pacific Southwest Railway Museum Association announces its spring 2015 schedule of trains and special events at its Campo Living-History & Train-Operation Center, 50 miles east of downtown San Diego.
Each weekend, January through May, museum hours are 9 a.m. - 5 p.m., with its popular Golden State vintage passenger train departing Campo depot at 11 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. both days for a leisurely, scenic 12-mile round-trip journey over a mountainous section of the historic San Diego & Arizona Eastern Railway. Admission and escorted tours of the 40-acre museum are included in each train ticket.
Easter Bunny Train -- March 28-29 and April 4th. Bring the whole family and join us for this annual old-time trip with the famous Bunny to the Easter egg hunt. Online reservations are required (the Golden State trains will not run on these weekends).
Chefs fire Up the Iron Horse -- Watch for online announcement of this popular adults-only, one-day food, wine-tasting & live music event (probably in mid- March). Online reservations are required. The Golden State trains will also operate on this day, and the two activities can be combined for a full day of partying and train-riding.
Engineer-For-An-Hour -- You won't want to miss this opportunity to actually take the controls of a 120-ton diesel-electric locomotive and run it down the track, using airbrake, bell & horn. Certificate provided. Reservation required. For information, dates and prices, visit http://www.psrm.org.
