PEDESTRIAN DIES AFTER COLLISION IN LA MESA

May 13, 2016 (La Mesa) – David Ben Gonzalez, 70, of La Mesa died during surgery following injuries sustained when he was hit by a car while crossing El Cajon Blvd. near Williams Avenue in La Mesa Tuesday night.
The victim was struck by a Toyota Prius and was not in a crosswalk when the accident occurred. The driver remained at the scene and is not suspected of using alcohol or any criminal actions, according to La Mesa Police.
