SUSPECT WANTED FOR THEFT OF LEMON GROVE SCHOOL LAPTOPS: UP TO $1,000 REWARD OFFERED

May 17, 2016 (Lemon Grove) -- San Diego County Crime Stoppers and investigators from the Lemon Grove Sheriff's Substation want the public's help in identifying and locating those responsible for stealing 43 laptops from San Miguel Elementary School April 27th or 28th. 

The suspect gained access to a storage shed on those dates stole 43 black DELL Chromebook laptops worth nearly $12,000 from the school, located in the 7000 block of San Miguel Avenue. The laptops will only work when they are connected to the Wi-Fi service of San Miguel Elementary School. When the laptops are turned on, the screens display: “Property of the Lemon Grove School District."

There was no video surveillance around the area of the storage shed.

Anyone with information on the identity or location of the suspect/s is asked to call the Crime Stoppers anonymous tip line at (888) 580-8477. Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $1,000 reward to anyone with information that leads to an arrest in this case. Anonymous email and text messages can be sent via www.sdcrimestoppers.org.
