San Diego, CA, November 5, 2009 – As a thank you to Veterans and Armed Services Personnel, Veterans Day, November 11 has been declared a “Fee Free Day” for Cleveland, San Bernardino, Angeles and Los Padres National Forests.

Over 100 years ago, 101 years to be exact on July 1, 1908 the Cleveland National Forest was created by President Theodore Roosevelt. This gorgeous area is still a haven for wildlife and people. Fall is a special time to savor being in nature away from the hustle and bustle of city life. So pack a picnic lunch and enjoy a hike as you experience the splendor of our beautiful autumn outdoors. For more information about this or other “Free” days, please check out their website at: www.fs.fed.us/r5/cleveland.
