August 10, 2016 (San Diego’s East County) – Yesterday, Steven Guider, 52, was arrested in the 8200 block of Winter Gardens Blvd. in unincorporated El Cajon. Guider posted $2,000 worth of construction equipment on Craigslist that had recently been stolen from a vehicle burglary in Santee.

Santee Detectives contacted Guider and arranged an undercover buy of the stolen property, says Detective Doug Roysdon. Steven met with Detectives posing as construction workers and was taken into custody with the stolen property. Detectives conducted a follow-up search of the suspect’s home in the 12500 block of Royal Rd.

Detectives located and recovered an additional $1,000 of stolen construction equipment belonging to the same victim. A stolen motorcycle worth $4,000 was also recovered at Guider's residence. Guider and two additional adult males were taken into custody and booked into county jail for possession of stolen property and various narcotic related charges.

The investigation is still ongoing. Any inquires can be made to Detective Doug Roysdon at 619 956-4053.
