“Cornhole is a fun game everyone can play and it’s addicting,” says John Fonseca, president of La Mesa Park & Recreation Foundation. “My two sons, Lucas and John Carlos, have been tossing bags in the backyard in preparation for the tournament. I think they’re going to be top contenders!”
A unique aspect of the tournament is each cornhole set was specially created by Good Wood Customs, a local company owned by La Mesa natives Aaron Morgante and Colin Martin. “Every set in the tournament was designed and made to link the families and businesses of the community,” said Morgante.
The event will also offer delicious BBQ by Carolina Mike’s, beer garden sponsored by Mike Hess Brewing, SnoCal Shaved Ice, and cold rootbeer!
