August 14, 2017 (San Diego) - Today's San Diego State football practice was canceled after an outbreak of chicken pox among some players, ECM news partner 10 News reports.

Three players began showing symptoms on Saturday, SDSU Senior Associate Athletic Director of Communications and Media Mike May told 10 News.

The university released a statement:

“We are in communication with County Public Health Services and will be working with them as needed going forward. The cases are still contained to just the football team and not the general student population (classes begin on Aug. 28).”

Monday's practice was canceled so crews could disinfect the locker room and weight room.   Practice is slated to resume tomorrow at 3:30 p.m.  Listen to the full story and how it will impact the Aztecs' season here.
