November 3, 2018 (Del Cerro) - A 20-year-old woman was attacked and stabbed Thursday shortly after midnight by a man who opened the door of her car in a Del Cerro parking lot in the 6300 block of Del Cerro Boulevard.

The victim had been seated in her car fixing her hair when she was assaulted. The suspect fled on foot and has not been located, City News Service reports.

The victim was taken to a hospital with stab wounds to her cheek, eyebrow and elbow. San Diego Police Department is investigating the crime.
