CHILD RAPIST PROPOSED FOR RELEASE IN JACUMBA
East County News Service
February 22, 2019 (Jacumba Hot Springs) – The state of California is proposing to release Alan Earl James, a sexually violent predator and pedophile, at 4512 Old Highway 80 in Jacumba Hot Springs. He has multiple convictions including child rape and child molestation.
The public can submit comments to sdsafe@sdsheriff.org before March 6. Public comments will be included in the record at a hearing on his proposed placement. The hearing will be held March 22 at 9 a.m. in Dept. 2001 of San Diego Superior Court with the Honorable Albert Harutnian III presiding.
Supervisor Dianne Jacob, who opposes James’ placement, issued the following statement: “Alan Earl James represents the worst of the worst and doesn’t deserve a life outside of prison. Over many years, he repeatedly committed sex crimes against children, including molestation and sexual intercourse. I have long protested the placement of sexually violent predators in the community, and I know families share my outrage that another monster like this would even be allowed outside a cell.”
