SPRING YOUR CLOCKS FORWARD ON SUNDAY
East County News Service
March 7, 2019 (San Diego’s East County) – Daylight savings time begins this Sunday, March 10. Be sure to wind your clocks forward an hour.
Moving clocks forward is intended to allow more daylight during spring and summer months. Daylight savings time official begins at 2 a.m. Sunday, but it’s a good idea to change your clocks and watches before going to bed Saturday night.
If you travel or call others outside of California, be aware that Hawaii, most of Arizona, Puerto Rico, Guam, the Virgin Islands, and American Samoa don’t participate in Daylight Savings Time.
This is also a good time to check the batteries in your smoke detector and carbon monoxide detector to make sure they will work to alert you if needed.
