September 24, 2019 (Valley Center) – You’re invited to don your best costume for a Halloween contest and parade plus fun for the whole family at Bates Nut Farm in Valley Center (15954 Woods Valley Rd.) on Sunday, October 27.

Participants in the Bates Costume Contest will get a certificate of participation, Halloween treats and a tractor hayride ticket. Not wearing a costume? You can come anyway and cheer your favorite costumes. Prizes will be awarded in four age categories, so everybody has a chance to win.

Registration begins at 9:00 a.m., and costume parade and judging begin at 12:00 p.m. You can also enjoy pumpkin patch activities, food and live music from 12-3 p.m.

(Admission is free. $5.00 parking on October weekends.)
