BOY HURT IN BICYCLE-VEHICLE COLLISION

May 19, 2010 (La Mesa) – A boy, approximately 12 to 14 years old, sustained facial injuries after striking a car and being thrown into the street. According to La Mesa Police, a 90-year-old driver pulled her 1995 Buick into a driveway in front of the bicyclist in the 8600 block of Lemon Avenue in La Mesa.

 

The cyclist was wearing a helmet. He was taken by ambulance to Children’s Hospital. The cause has not been determined and the investigation is ongoing.
