SAN DIEGO YOUNG ARTISTS SYMPHONY POPS CONCERT: MUSIC FROM THE MOVIES
January 5, 2008 (San Diego) —The San Diego Young Artists Symphony (YAS),
  conducted by Mary Gerard and Hernan Constantino, performs at the Joan B. Kroc
  Theatre (6611 University Ave. San Diego, CA 92115) on Sunday, January 25, 2009
  at 3:00 p.m.  The
  concert will feature movie music from the Phantom of the Opera, Amadeus, Pirates
  of the Caribbean, Harry Potter, Star Wars, Lord of the Rings and Titanic. An
  amazing rock version of Pachelbel’s Canon in D will also be performed featuring
  members of YAS on electric and bass guitars and drum set, accompanied by the
  full orchestra.
The Young Artists Symphony was founded in 1995 for all young promising musicians,
  ages 3 to 24. Conducted by Mary Gerard and Hernan Constantino, YAS provides
  orchestral training to young musicians who have the ability and desire to study
  and perform symphonic works in a nurturing environment. The Young Artists Symphony
  is a full symphony orchestra and has expectations and standards of excellence
  similar to those of a music conservatory. They have several training ensemble
  opportunities available, they practice every Saturday morning at Mesa College
  and perform concerts county-wide. .  Tickets are $10 for adults and $8
