May 12, 2024 (San Diego’s East County) — The Aurora Borealis, or Northern Lights, made a rare but spectacular appearance over San Diego’s East County Friday night, visible in mountain and rural areas dark enough to see the dramatic night sky.
 
These images were taken by Joyce Teague from Guatay, CA, in East County near Pine Valley.
