TRUCK HITS, KILLS ESCONDIDO MAN IN WHEELCHAIR

September 13, 2010 (Escondido) – Roger Emil Minx, 61, was struck and killed by a pickup truck while crossing a road Escondido on Saturday, September 11 shortly after 2 a.m.

The accident occurred at the intersection of Fig Street and East Valle Parkway. According to the County Medical Exainer, the victim was transported to Palomar Medical Center via ambulance, where he was diagnosed with internal bleeding and multiple blunt force injuries.

Despite aggressive medical and surgical treatment, his condition declined and he died in the trauma intensive care unit the following morning. Minx, who was single, was a resident of Escondido.
