March 24, 2026— On Saturday, March 28, 2026, a massive nationwide mobilization called “No Kings 3” is scheduled across the United States. It is organized by the NO Kings Coalition, which includes groups like Indivisible, the ACLU, and the AFL-CIO. This event is expected to be one of the largest protests in American history.

The protest primarily aims to oppose what organizers describe as authoritarian actions and “regime brutality” by the second Trump administration. This specific date of protests was also chosen following the murders of residents like Alex Pretti, Renée Good, and Keith Porter during federal immigration (ICE) operations.

As of March 2026, the public views Trump’s second term as generally negative and deeply polarized. The nation is struggling under rising costs for living and affordability, disdain over the recent Iran War started by President Trump, as well as a general dissatisfaction of life in the United States,

How to Participate

Over 3,000 events are planned in all 50 states, with the primary mobilization taking place in the Twin Cites— Minneapolis / Saint Paul, Minnesota. Other large rallies in cities include but are not limited to Portland, Seattle, New York City, Hartford, and Salem.

You can search for local rallies or sign up to host one at NoKings.org or Indivisible.org. The coalition emphasizes non-violent action and offers Know Your Rights training led by the ACLU to prepare attendees for federal enforcement encounters. Participants are encouraged to avoid bringing weapons and to focus on de-escalation during any confrontations. It is important to check the official No Kings map for the most recent addition.

In La Mesa, there is a protest event called the NO KINGS La Mesa Bill of Rights Festival, which is coordinated by Indivisible and the 50501 Movement. Located at the intersection of University Avenue and La Mesa Boulevard (La Mesa 91942), it is a free-to-attend rally on March 28 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

“The purpose of this event is to demonstrate our community’s unity and commitment to upholding our Constitutional Bill of Rights and the protections to our freedom and liberty that are being violated and undermined by the violent and authoritarian actions of the current administration,” a press release from La Mesa’s organizer states. “ We are placing a deliberate emphasis, not on anger and fear, but on joyful resistance and celebration of our freedoms that we wish to uphold.

This is alongside the No Kings nonviolent movement that has already mobilized millions — from over five million participants on June 14, 2025 to over 7 million people joining 2,700+ events across all 50 states on October 18, 2025 to reject authoritarian power grabs and defend dignity and freedom.”
