RIVER DAYS HIKE AND RIVER CLEAN-UP JUNE 7-8 IN LAKESIDE

May 28, 2019 (Lakeside) - The Lakeside RiverPark Foundation announces two events next weekend.  A guided hike originally set in May has been rescheduled for Saturday,b June 8 due to rain last month. Plus, you can help clean-up the River Park on either Friday or Saturday, June 7-8.  Below are details.

 

Upcoming River Clean-up:

 

  • Friday and Saturday, June 7-8, 7-11 a.m. each day. This is an important cleanup and help is needed! A number of homeless camps and dumping grounds have been discovered on property that the River Park is responsible for keeping clear. River Days Hike:

 

  • Saturday, June 8th (9-10:30a.m.) - San Diego River Days. Rescheduled from the original May date due to rainy weather on the originally planned date. This family friendly guided hike will take you down a trail on the south side of the river park property. You will get a chance to see newly constructed wetlands and bioswale. Off-road strollers and all ages welcome. 12108 Industry Rd in Lakeside.
