February 19, 2017 (College Station, Tx.) - The San Diego State swimming and diving team captured second place in the final team standings at the 2017 Mountain West Championships being contested this week at Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas. In addition to the team’s stellar effort, Aztec McKenna Meyer was named the Freshman of the Meet for her performance over the four days of competition in the pool.

The Aztecs (3-4) first downed the Highlanders (1-5), 3-0, before falling to No. 8/9 Washington, 6-5, later in the night.

February 16, 2017 (San Diego) - Due to rain, what was supposed to be SDSU softball’s weekend-long hosting of the 27th annual Campbell/Cartier Classic is now reduced to three games today and one on Tuesday.  The Aztecs hosted UC Riverside earlier today and tonight, they hosted the Huskies from Washington.  The No. 8 Huskies faced UC Riverside earlier tonight.

February 15, 2017 (San Diego) - San Diego State will send four football players to the NFL Scouting Combine (National Invitational Camp) in Indianapolis from Feb. 28-March 6, the NFL announced today. Daniel Brunskill (Valley Center, Calif./Valley Center HS), Damontae Kazee (San Bernardino, Calif.), Donnel Pumphrey (Las Vegas) and Nico Siragusa (Chula Vista, Calif./Mater Dei Catholic HS) all will attend the camp, which will be scouted by top executives, coaching staffs, player personnel departments and medical personnel from all 32 NFL teams.

February 14, 2017 (San Diego) - After a win on Sunday at home against Nevada, Aztecs men's basketball heads out on the road tomorrow night to Logan, Utah to face Utah State.  Assistant coach Brian Dutcher and senior forward Matt Shrigley sat down with the media at today's press conference.

Joining them were the boys of summer:  baseball head coach Mark Martinez and senior starting pitcher Brett Seeburger.  This year's Aztecs feature four players from East County high schools--Hunter Stratton (junior catcher, Grossmont), Jordan Verdon (sophomore infielder, Granite Hills), Kenny LaPierre (another sophomore from Granite Hills and an Alpine native.  Right-handed pitcher) and Avery Tuck, a freshman outfielder from Steele Canyon.  The Aztecs open their season on Friday at Tony Gwynn Stadium.

February 12, 2017 (Los Angeles) - The San Diego State softball team scored the first 10 runs of the game and the final six in a 16-7 victory over Weber State in the final game of UCLA’s Stacy Winsberg Memorial Tournament Sunday in Los Angeles. The Aztecs (2-3), who came into Sunday with 28 hits through their first four games, had 20 today in the victory.

February 12, 2017 (San Diego) - For the second day in row, the San Diego State men’s tennis team had its fortunes hinge on the final singles match; however, the Aztecs suffered the opposite fate on Sunday, dropping a tough 4-3 decision to UC Davis in a non-conference dual at Aztec Tennis Center. With the setback, SDSU was unable to complete a weekend sweep, slipping to 3-4 overall, while the Aggies even their record at 3-3 on the season.
