February 14, 2023 (San Diego) - The Padres are getting a big boost in the bullpen right before spring training; Michael Wacha is coming to San Diego.

The ex-Cardinals star who bounced around in the post St. Louis era before having a great season with the Red Sox last season is coming on a multiple year contract pending a physical. The Padres have not yet confirmed.

He posted a 3.32 ERA in Boston last year and a 3.91 ERA in St. Louis from 2013-2019.
