April 14, 2023 (Jamul)--Deputies with the San Diego County Sheriff's Department are investigating a shooting in Jamul on Monday, March 27 at a house in the 2600 block of Bratton Valley Road just before midnight. According to Lieutenant Jeff Ford, there was a verbal argument over guests being asked to leave the home.

“Five people got into a car and as they were driving away, shots were fired. The car was hit, but no one was hurt,” Lt. Ford says, adding that three of the passengers in the vehicle were minors.

The incident was reported to the Rancho San Diego Sheriff's Station and Rural Command the next day, March 28.

As part of the investigation, on Thursday April 13, a search warrant was served at the house in Jamul where the incident occurred.

Michael "Mikey" Anthony Williams, 18, was arrested on several counts of assault with a deadly weapon. He was released on $50,000 bail on Friday. He is expected to appear in an El Cajon Courtroom on Thursday, April 20 at 8:00 a.m.
