September 6, 2023 (San Diego) - Both the Padres and Phillies went for the series today. Zack Wheeler started for Philly against Michael Wacha.

Kyle Schwarber hit a solo homer in the first and the Phillies led 1-0 after one.

Bryce Harper doubled in the fourth to score two and J.T. Realmuto homered in the fifth. Jake Cave singled to score Brandon Marsh. The Padres only scored one run and Philadelphia took the series with a 5-1 win.

UP NEXT

The Padres travel on their day off to Houston for a weekend with the Astros. Game one on Friday is at 5:10 p.m. and will only be on Apple TV+. Blake Snell starts against Hunter Brown for Houston.
