ATTEMPTED KIDNAPPING AT SDSU
March 24, 2015 (San Diego) –San Diego State University has issued a community safety alert warning that a man armed with a black handgun tried to kidnap a female student Monday night at 10:50 p.m. and force her into a vehicle.
The attempted kidnapping occurred at the corner of Campanille Drive and Baja Drive. The victim was on foot and ran away from the scene to call police and the suspect fled.
The suspect was driving a vehicle described as “possibly a brown pickup truck.” The suspect is described as a white male, 40 to 60 years old, 5 feet 10 inches, wearing blue jeans, a light blue polo shirt and glasses.
